The Macdonald Compleat Angler offers two luxury boats for you to enjoy from its fantastic riverside setting. Whether you are a couple looking for a romantic self drive cruise, a family celebrating a special occasion or a corporate event looking for some R&R we have an option to suit you. Why not combine it with a relaxing stay in this lovely 4 star riverside hotel, dating back to the 17th century, within sight and sound of cascading water over Marlow Weir, or book lunch, afternoon tea or dinner pre or post your boat trip. Trips from the private mooring at Macdonald Compleat Angler can vary to suit your requirements. From just one hour between the locks passing stunning riverside houses, Bisham Abbey and Bisham Church, to two hours through Marlow Lock to Bourne End and back or through Temple towards Harleyford Estate. A longer trip could involve cruising towards Hurley and Henley (2 1/2 hours each way) or to Cliveden, Maidenhead and Bray or even Windsor (4 hours one way).

Kingfisher - Skippered Hire (up to 12 passengers)

Kingfisher is a very attractive Dutch river cruiser built in 2010 by Aquanaut Yachts in Sneek, Holland and brought over to the UK specially for the Compleat Angler in 2017. Kingfisher combines the benefits of a modern, well equipped, heated cruiser with the elegance of a teak panelled saloon and a rear cockpit which can be covered or open depending on the weather. We can ensure that all of your guests can be in the sun if the weather is good, or inside and warm if not. Kingfisher can carry 12 people with ease, she is equipped with a small galley, fridge, bathroom, hot and cold water, etc. Everything you need to make your day aboard as relaxing as possible.

All trips on Kingfisher include a fully qualified, friendly, knowledgeable skipper.

Ferry Nab - Self Drive Hire (up to 6 passengers)

Our smaller self-drive boat can carry up to 6 adults. Ferry Nab is electrically powered meaning she is not only eco-friendly but also very quiet ensuring you are able to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful stretch of the River Thames.

Available by the hour, a licence is not required to drive her and full instructions will be provided before you leave the hotel.
