Festivals along the River Thames

The towns along the River Thames provide a wide variety of festivals throughout the year. From Food & Drink inspired, music and literary festivals to those based on the season.
Summer is when the River Thames comes to life with a spectacular array of festivals. 

Henley - Town of Festivals offers a wide range of festivals during the year. The Henley Festival showcases all the ingredients of the best festivals and is one of the biggest in the UK. The Traditional Boat Festival features the largest display of traditional boats in Europe, the fleet of Dunkirk "Little Ships" with MTB 102, Her Majesty's rowbarge "Gloriana", the largest gathering of amphibious vehicles to date, WW1 air display team, and a return visit by Bluebird K3.

The newest festival along the River Thames is Reading Walks Festival 11-19 May 2024. You don’t need to be a keen walker to take part. The festival will be suitable for all ages and walking ability with walks ranging in length from 40- minute wanders to a two-day pilgrimage.
