River Thames Top 6 Active Experiences
- Learn to sail with Bisham Abbey Sailing and Navigation School, based within Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, located on the banks of the River Thames just outside Marlow. On offer is a wide range of RYA courses including dinghy sailing for children and adults.
- Get cycling along the Thames Path, you can’t cycle the whole route but there are plenty of places you can, or The National Cycle Network provides routes that combine the Thames with other scenic area of the countryside.
- Try stand up paddleboarding (SUP), hire is available from Boat Rental Thames at Bisham Abbey.
- Have a go at punting. Hiring a punt in Oxford with Salters Steamers, allows you to glide by history through Christchurch College Meadows where Lewis Carroll taught and was inspired to write Alice in Wonderland (1865)
