About
The annual Rowing Regatta at Marlow has been the premier social and sporting event in the life of the Town since 1855. In 2001 the rowing regatta moved to Dorney Lake on the opening of the new mulit-lane international course in 2000 and as a result a new Marlow Town Regatta and Festival was born with the first festival in 2001.
The Marlow Town Regatta and Festival is now a traditional summer Lawn Regatta with rowing on the Thames jointly organised by Marlow Town Regatta & Festival (MTRF) and Marlow Rowing Club. This is Marlow's Premier Sporting & Social Community Event of the summer and continues a tradition that has been running for 150 years. The location is Higginson Park, Marlow SL7 1AW.
There are 2 enclosures, both of which have access to the river and the Round Table bar. For those who wish to picnic, there are approximately 150 picnic pitches available for hosting your own garden party, relax and enjoy the opportunity to socialise, eat drink & enjoy the rowing.
A varied selection of local food stalls will be available to choose from if you have not brought your own food. As it’s close to the Riverside Bar run by Marlow Round Table you can purchase a drink whilst you make your choice! There will be free entertainment within the enclosure. Marlow FM 97.5 will be broadcasting the event live all weekend and presenting live music provided by local artists. The perfect backdrop to soak up the atmosphere of the afternoon while the rowing is taking place on the river.
There will be music from 3pm, which will evolve into the evening music event.
The Marlow Dragon Boat Festival takes place on the regatta course on the Sunday with arrivals at 9am, races starting at 10am and running throughout the day.
