The British love the combination of savoury and sweet treats, accompanied by some of the 165 million cups of tea we drink each day in the UK and there are few British traditions more decadent than Afternoon Tea.

Popularised by Queen Victoria in the 1840’s this was a crafty way to make snacking on naughty treats look and feel sophisticated! As the seventh national Afternoon Tea Week gets underway, do join us to celebrate this favourite pastime.

An indulgent affair served daily from 1pm and on weekends from 3pm in the Restaurant or on the Terrace whilst taking in the breath-taking views of the gardens and River Thames. Delicious mouth-watering fillings in delicate finger sandwiches, warm home-made scones served with clotted cream and preserve, gorgeous cakes and light as a feather macaron all served with a selection of Hoogley Tea, or for extra indulgence a chilled glass of Champagne.
