Newly opened in April 2016 and located in the charming old stable block, The Astor Grill offers informal dining with an equestrian themed décor. The all-day menu is overseen by Executive Chef André Garrett and it focusses on a mixture of classic American and British dishes.
The name – The Astor Grill – recalls the Astor family, who owned the house from the early 1900s. William Waldorf Astor, America’s richest citizen, then gave the house to his son and daughter in-law, Nancy Astor, in 1906, and Cliveden became a vibrant social hub for guests as diverse as Charlie Chaplin, George Bernard Shaw and Winston Churchill.
Enjoy a late brunch, early lunch, or a relaxed supper served with a selection of rediscovered ‘Old World’ wines, with 20 available by-the-glass or carafe and a selection of English craft beers and artisan ciders, or try an ‘Astor Fizz’.
