About
A fabulous fusion of music in Maidenhead
An evening of up-tempo songs and beautifully arranged ballads. The Jigantics perform at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts as part of their nationwide tour supporting their new album, Seconds Out. The show is on Saturday 15 April at 8pm. Tickets are £14.
The Jigantics are a band with a vision. They are five musicians who have the talent and flexibility to deliver rousing performances across an astoundingly diverse range of material. They play a fabulous fusion of blues, rock, folk and Americana.
The band has built up a deserved reputation over the last few of years as one of the UK’s must see live roots acts. In August 2016 their new album Seconds Out was released. They are now presenting it on their nationwide tour.
Seconds Out is a labour of love, its rich textures permeating each and every song. It includes a completely original take on Alison Krauss’ bluegrass paean Take Me for Longing, a heartfelt fragility in Angels Wings, and a reinvention of The SteelDrivers’ Blue Side of The Mountain. It is an album that delves into the myriad roots of American and British music. The originality is as heartening as it is refreshing.
Wherever you look on this album there is a discernible quality oozing from every groove. Join The Jigantics for an intimate evening of music forged from experience, expertise and outstanding musical talent.
