About
We are a country pub through and through with our heart and soul rooted in our location, nestled on the outskirts of Windsor Great Park, our beautiful terrace garden overlooks the ancient deciduous woodland. The land on which the Bailiwick stands was originally part of Wick Common, but was taken by encroachment at the end of the 1790's by the simple method of "build your house and have a fire going within 24 hours", which gave you full rights to remain there.
The original building was a bungalow built by John Cheeseman at that time, but this was replaced in 1877 with the building that stands now, which was a house with a shop. But we think it makes much more sense for it to be a pub!
We have a beautiful bar within the centre of the pub, big enough to home our array of gins and whiskies. We offer a range of local ales and a well-balanced, great quality list of wines designed to complement our food menus which are designed daily by our team of creative chefs who all have a passion for great cooking using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients.
We think we are the perfect place to drink and dine with friends without the distraction of tvs and gaming machines and we offer a welcome haven to walkers and their dogs on their return from a glorious stroll around the stunning park.
