About
River Thames Boat Project offers therapeutic cruises and educational activities on the River Thames for people of all ages, including those with a disability or mental health condition.
The charity was established in 1989 and has shown that enjoying and learning about the river on board our specially adapted and wheelchair-accessible boats is a very special experience.
It brings relaxation, health and personal development benefits unique to the river setting – as shown by our many clients who rebook year after year.
We currently operate from Kingston and travel from Kingston to Weybridge and Windsor or Richmond.
We offer day and residential cruises, and we help our clients plan bespoke cruises and activities especially suited to their group’s particular needs. Lead by a qualified Skipper and specially trained caring volunteer crew members.
The cruises are for 12 people, disabled ramps, lifts, toilets and showers are available.
The Dutch Barge contains a fully equipped galley can be used for tea, coffee, or fully cooked meals, clients can bring their own food or picnic. Arrangements can be made in advance for additional catering. Large saloon, berths for 12.
Trips are half a day, full day, evening cruises or overnight stays.
Static mooring hire is available as well for celebration events or meetings.
Operating 12 months of the year.
