Henley Greenlands Hotel is situated at the foot of the quintessential Chiltern Hills, less than 3 miles from the centre of the historic market town of Henley on Thames and 5 miles  from the riverside Georgian market town of Marlow. The house is a magnificent Grade II Listed Building, steeped in history dating as far back as 1480. The WH Smith family purchased the House in 1871 and extended it considerably making it their country home. Today it is part of the 30-acre Henley Business School estate on the banks of the River Thames.

The Greenlands Hotel is in the separate Thames Court building adjacent to the main house. Comprising of 100 superior double en-suite bedrooms, including 8 luxury balcony rooms with views across the chiltern valley and the grounds leading to the River Thames. Featuring unique designs capturing the heart of Greenlands and providing well-appointed accommodation beside the River, all are fully equipped with the comforts you would expect from a high quality hotel, including Molton Brown toiletries and a Nespresso coffee machine.

Guests can make the most of the on-site fitness centre, the outdoor tennis court, giant lawn chess and a quick game of croquet along with exploring the footpaths into the Chiltern Hills.

With a variety of dining and refreshment options available for guests to enjoy whilst at Greenlands, all created by our own in-house highly skilled chefs. An extensive breakfast buffet is served each morning, everything from a full English to fresh fruit and yogurt, lunch to accommodate all tastes and evening meals available from a full self-service 4 course or a traditional home cooked bar meal.

With multiple lounge areas to enjoy a coffee from either our bean to cup machines or from our fully trained Barista’s, a comfy and relaxed bar area serving a full range of drinks including local ales, wines and spirits, to enjoying the tranquil outdoor surrounds beside the River Thames from the terrace and the benches within the grounds.

• Hire a boat and explore the riverbanks with Hobbs of Henley, Hire is available from an hour or more. Why not treat yourself to a chaufeurred launch with a picnic hamper supplied by the hotel or by Hobbs? They can arrange to pick you up from the hotel jetty.
• Row with an Olympian with Henley Rowing Association - A totally unique opportunity to ROW ON THE REGATTA COURSE WITH OLYMPIAN AND TWICE WORLD CHAMPION, Toby Garbett.
• Visit the River & Rowing Museum and discover the history of rowing, the river and Henley
• Enjoy a stroll in the gardens at nearby Stonor Park
• If you love chocolate book a Chocolate Afternoon Tea Experience at Chocolate Cafe Henley and pop into the Gorvett & Stone Chocolate Shop.
• Play a round of golf at Badgemoor Golf Club 
• Enjoy a pint at a Brakspear pub. The first brewery was located here and today it’s home to the micro-brewery The Bull on Bell Street. Follow the Brakspear Henley Ale Trail and visit some of the other Brakspear pubs around the town.
