Newbury Real Ale Festival at Northcroft Park

2013 saw the largest range of ales (140 varieties) and cider/perry (80), since the event began. And with the crowds enjoying the atmosphere most of these were sold out by the end of the evening.

Also last year there was a dedicated stage for the bands and singers with varied range of styles, from acoustic and dance, through to rock, ska and spanish blues!

The 2014 Newbury Real Ale Festival will feature more than 200 ales and ciders from across the UK and a selection of English wines will be available.

For all the foodies, there will be the usual hog with sides and extras, freshly made doughnuts, Crown Ice Cream will be serving a range of standard 99s, ice cream sundaes and strawberries and ice cream, and also offering from Ghassan’s and From The Sauce and a fully stocked Tuck Shop for the younger visitors.

Some of the beers, ales and ciders already confirmed for sale include:
PG Steam, Lottie Dodd, Deer Stalker, Sunsplash, Cornish Gribben, Oxfordshire Black Porter and Moonlight.

The festival runs on a drink token system, in order to speed up the process of serving drinks!
Ales which are less than 6% ABV are 1 token (half-pint)
Ales over 6% will cost 2 tokens (half-pint) and will be available from a specially designated area of the bar
All cider and Perry are 1 token (half-pint)

Families are more than welcome and there will be a face painter on site to amuse all ages! Obviously alcohol can only be sold to over 18s.

Dogs are fine on the site as long as they are well behaved. Unfortunately they will not be allowed in the marquee due to health and safety concerns.
